Willamette River Area

Took a sunday morning drive to see what I could find. It was a nice little adventure. I LOVE my camera! I am a little frustrated with my CS2 not working with the RAW files from the camera, so hopefully I will be upgrading software soon!

Coffee Break with the 50D

Still trying to figure out my camera and it's surprisingly difficult! So many new buttons and options I have never had before! It's wonderful, yet intimidating! I am mastering it, slowly! Ryan and I went downtown today and went to a new coffee shop we had not visited before. Vero Espresso at 205 E 14th Ave. It's pretty close to where my old apartment was so it was nice to be back in that area again! I missed it!
Off to MORE work, bleh, but I will keep shooting and editing! More coming soon!

My Day Off

Did not have to work today so Ryan and I took a few adventures, mostly around his neighborhood and or backyard. It began with bees and scary bugs in the backyard, then onto a bike ride and blackberry picking and then to samples/snack time and a nap at costco! hehe we know how to live the good life huh? I'm having fun playing with my mom's macro lens, I don't want to give it back!

My Weekend Links List

Ok, I'm gonna try something new today that if I like it I will try to keep it up! So my idea is every weekend try to post a few photo sites and even a few fun non-photo sites!
  1. Alexia Sinclair is an award winning Australian photographic and digital artist. Her work is amazing! If you have the time, I'd highly suggest that you to go through her gallery and look at all her work and really spend time with each piece to see the incredible detail and skilled digital manipulation at it's best!
  2. Check out the work by George Holz an American portrait photographer who is native of Oak Ridge Tennessee. He works with a wide range of models and has shot many well known celebrities. His work is very beautiful, playful and seductive!
  3. "Beauty can be seen in all things, seeing and composing the beauty is what separates the snapshot from the photograph." Matt Hardy This is a great quote from a list of 10 Photography Quotes You Should Know, an article featured on the Digital Photography School website.
  4. The Itty Bitty Kitty Committee is a wonderful blog that I love to follow, it is just what the title suggests, a blog full of pictures of cats and kittens! My favorite!
  5. and finally, Awkward Family Photos a hilarious website full of pictures people send in of those horrible posed family photos you see in everyone's home. These are great!

Black Berry Picking!

We went on an adventure the other day and found the bestest most secretest blackberry patch that is full of giant berries! We have been back a few times and each time I eat more and more berries and risk getting spiders in my hair.
I WILL take more pictures soon!

More with the 50mm 1.8 Prime

Took an adventure out into the field right next to my current home! I find it relaxing to just take a break from whatever is going on in my life and just take pictures of silly little things, like dead grass in a field. I look out my window every morning into this field, its very beautiful in its own way.

One year anniversary

On the first of this month Ryan and I had been going out for a year! It has been such a wonderful year and we wanted to celebrate it in a nice laid back and beautiful way. What better place than Sweet Cheeks Winery In Crow, Oregon just outside Eugene. Every Friday night they have wine tastings and last year towards the end of the summer we had gone to one and had a great time!

The night was just perfect! I feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful boyfriend and I can't wait to see what this next year has in store for us!
