Hawaii- Day Two

Poipu Beach Hike, it was amazing! Just under five miles (or so they say) and it went along the coast line and near some really amazing cliffs and rock formations!

This last picture is of "Spouting Horn" it was an area in the rocks where water would shoot up into the air and make a cool sound. The hype seems to be much greater than the actual sight, but it was pretty impressive at times. It does make you wonder how these places become so popular, and do they seem more impressive if there are more people snapping pictures and following tourist signs to it?
So far I am having an amazing time! After the hike Ryan and I immediately hit the beach for some snorkling and lounging around. I have not mastered the whole breathing through a tube thing, but seeing colorful fish swimming right under me make all the struggling worth it!
We also explored beyond the resort and went outside an abandoned sugarcane factory and to an old cemetary on the island. Those pictures are unedited, so they may be up later, or tmro.

Day 1 Tennis, Beach and Climbing Trees

We had an amazing day! Tennis was amazing and the courts were surrounded by beautiful flowering trees! Ryan climbed a tree and totally kicked it's ass! We also spend several hours laying either by the pool or the ocean. Ryan and I also swam out into the ocean really far! It was incredible. The entire day was topped off by a perfect sunset over the resort!
We are now off on a hike, amazing pictures to come from that!!

1st Day of Hawaii

The first picture is what I saw out my window driving from the airport to the hotel and the second image is from my seat at lunch, mahi mahi cesaer salad while watching the ocean! More to come soon!

After hours of travel and many crossword puzzles, I finally got to Hawaii! I am exhausted from travel and playing in the ocean! Too tired to edit much at all, but heres a teaser..

Summerish

Hello internet world, have you missed me? I have been crazy busy lately and I feel bad about neglecting my beautiful blog so I thought I would post a quick update. So in the last two weeks I graduated college (YAY!), got a job as a counter girl at a pizza place, moved out of my old apartment (tent picture and roomie picture from moving day), moved into Ryan's, and on top of all of this, preparing to go to HAWAII!!
I leave on Sunday to fly out to spend a whole week and a day in Kauai! I have been crazy paranoid about my camera lately because I know I will be taking hundreds of pictures of everything I see there and Hawaii without a camera would be torture! I might just pack it away in a bag all charged up and protected until I get there!
So today will most likely be the last time I go back to my apartment, ever! Crazy! I'm going back to grab a few last minute things and then locking the doors and saying goodbye. New and exciting changes!! Wish me luck!

Beginning of Summer

This last Saturday was my graduation from the University of Oregon and the end of a chapter of my life and the beginning of random projects, art school and some fun adventures.

I am working on coming up with some new ideas for fun projects to work on this summer, I have started a new job at a pizza place and that may be the location of a new photo project. I am doing a great deal of research on HDR photography and looking into new techniques to make my pictures more unique.

Gold Beach Trip

Over memorial day weekend Ryan and I drove up to Gold Beach to visit my parents and to do nothing but fly kites and hang out. It was a wonderful trip and I'm finally getting to editing the pictures!
